Fun with Croatian Yacht Chaterts
How I discovered I was in love with Brac

Oh, boy! Oh, boy! Do I have a special treat for you today! As you all know, I’m a great sailing enthusiast and part of the reason for this blog is that I want to document everything I discover on my journeys. Most of the stories I write are about Croatia, but it is only because of the rich and beautiful places you can visit while you’re sailing the Adriatic. I fell in love with Croatia the second I set sail for it. Today I will be taking you back to the island of Brac! Don't forget to charter a yacht.

The island of Brac is located in the Adriatic Sea and is considered the Dalmatian island and also the third largest island in whole of Croatia. Lucky for me, the island has its own ACI Marina situated in the town of Milna. The location of ACI Marina Milna offered good shelter from strong winds I had to put up with on that particular day. Under normal circumstances, the weather is usually not this “bad”. Mostly it is just sunny and warm, with little to no wind indications. But, alas, today was not one of those days. Well, enough of my yammering. That won’t ruin my experience! Keep an eye out for a red lighthouse when approaching the marina. Thanks SailingEurope’s route planner I was able to find this place with ease.

Most tourists like to spend their time on the open sea, sailing around the island of Brac, but not me. I wanted to set foot on land as soon as possible. I wanted to walk on the spectacular Zlatni Rt beach and explore the town of Bol. The beach is unique because on one side you can enjoy strong waves that are suitable for surfing, and on the other side you can find perfectly calm water where you can swim and cool yourself off.

Apart from the town of Bol, I visited the towns Selce and Supetar which are also great tourist attractions. Especially Selce. I really enjoyed my stay there. The place is so small and yet blooming with life. No wonder people come to Selce to rehabilitate and regenerate their nervous minds. A perfect place to forget every worry in life and just enjoy the tranquility. Everywhere I went, I saw numerous restaurants that offered great wine and traditional home made cuisine. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to visit one particularly good fish restaurant called “Toc” in Selce. It is always packed with guests so it must be good.

I’m sure you’ll love sailing the Adriatic and visiting neighboring islands like I do. I hope my blog made you want to sail even more and that you will follow my example in order to experience life to its fullest. Bon voyage!
